it rains so I'll skip driving to the next village and looking at the waves.
Instead I drive to Wasdale Head. That it on the other side of Wast Water. The water is not so wast but it is the deepest lake in England. Next to it is the highest peak of England and the tiniest church of England. Very sensible to collect all "the most" together like that.
After tea the sun comes out and I wander along the lake a bit. There's a trail around the lake but it is too late to walk that. Excellent choice of hiking and walking literature in the shop.
