Reykjavík

A late morning with a seaside stroll.
People piling on Sólfar that they likely mistake for a viking ship. Harpa to confuse our senses with structures hanging in the air.
At the photography museum Jessica Auer shows the effect of mass tourism from a local’s perspective. Everything that is done en masse turns ugly quickly.
We go for a coffee to the old harbout and discussing the exhibition, completely forget that we wanted to visit the maritime museum also. Instead we go bathing. It’s very relaxing to lay in the shallow pool, lean the head on the edge, eyes closed in the sun, and listen to water gurgling all around spiced with pieces of Icelandic conversations. The ultimate bliss in Iceland.
