Levada da Serra do Faial starts very close to our place, is a bit bushy at first but then turns out to be a pleasant and quiet trail along the waterway.

At one point it is possible to go down the slope and reach Levada dos Tornos. I try some shortcuts which do not work but I get some tasty wild apples in the process. Walking back along this levada almost takes me at our house if it wasn't for a construction site that blocks the shortest route.
