Sixth time in Iceland.
Twice in March, twice in June and twice with a travel companion. Last time the companion
was Rav4, this time it‘s Kalle. We have rented a huge vehicle.
Sun paints all of the moss landscape golden. Dark layers of clouds towards inland with a piece of forgotten rainbow hanging in them. A lot of open space with tiny horses. Staff in touristic spots still has not learned to speak Icelandic.
By evening we reach Húsafell that has since ancient times been an oasis of food and lodging for travellers heading north.
