road to Strandir

Seems like a nice day with mixed clouds and sun.
We check out Hraunfossar since they are right around the corner. A lovely way to organize falling water, all along the river it squeezes out from the ground.
Next destination is Strandir with a mission to find camping gas on the way. Should be easy, gas stations sell gas. Well. Not the one at Bifröst. And not the one in Hólmavík. There’s a shop next door but it opens tomorrow. The staff recommends us to go to Drangsnes. The shop there is closed. Pretending to be Icelanders we find out where the shopkeeper lives but she only has the other type of gas bottles, not the ones that we need for our stove. Ísafjörður is over 200 kilometers away. Eating cold food would be an option but it’s rather chilly and warm food and drink would be nice. And it would be two evenings and two mornings.
A touch desision is made. Back to Hólmavík, go to the shop there first thing in the morning and skip one waterfall that I saw last time anyway. On the way back we have fun taking pictures by the road, peeing and fighting the wind. Hólmavík witchcraft museum has necropants on display. An intruiging concept.
