from Broadford to Torrin

Cloudy but no rain.
A rather nice walk. First along a former railway line, The Marble Line, then through two abandoned villages where people were forced to move out during the Highland Clearances. Between the two village all interesting plant-life has been lifted conveniently to eye-level. A lot of different birds. Sun patches on the sea.
Both the cafe and the takeaway in Torrin are closed before we get there. The camping spot at the bridge is crowded with the best places taken. Our first choice for the tent is not the best. Luckily we quickly discover that it is high tide and seawater is pressing up the river. We manage a swift escape just before the spot is completely flooded.
